During this session of Gateways to the Summit, we will be screening the critically acclaimed documentary The Black Miami, after which the creator will take questions from the audience. Guests will enjoy the historic Lyric Theater, a century-plus-old landmark for Miami’s Black population, and they will learn the hidden stories of racial strife that undergird the city.​

This session of Gateways to the Summit comprises a X-hour boat tour, during which guests will participate in a conversation with marine biologist and entrepreneur Austin Gallager, and enjoy cocktails and light bites.

Join Dr. Austin Gallagher, founder and CEO of Beneath The Waves, for a guided boat tour around Miami during which you will learn about the thrilling science, private sector collaboration, local engagement, media involvement—and ocean wildlife including tiger sharks—that drive his conservation efforts.

Participants will enjoy a thorough one-hour workout in the acclaimed SoulCycle Studios, while supporting Northeastern’s Women Who Empower initiative. A portion of the fee for this class will support Women Who Empower’s efforts to drive positive change and build a brighter future. Refreshments will be served after the class.
