Travel + Visa Guidance
Please see the following guidance for the 2025 Northeastern University Global Leadership Summit in Miami. Be sure to check with the relevant consular authority for the most up-to-date visa requirements and processes.

Please note that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related travel restrictions, the following information is subject to change at any time.
Visa-exempt Nationals
Citizens of Canada and Bermuda generally do not require a visa to visit the USA, with exception for certain purposes. For more information see the U.S. Embassy Ottawa website, U.S. Consulate Hamilton website and CBP website.
Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program enables citizens or nationals of participating countries to travel to the US for tourism and business purposes up to 90 days without obtaining a visa. Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization approval prior to travel.

Visa-required Nationals
Visa-required nationals, including citizens of China and Mexico, will need to apply for a visa prior to traveling to the United States. More information on the visa application process and requirements can be found here.

Please note that it is the responsibility of all travelers to ensure that they have the proper documentation/authorization for any regions/countries they may be connecting through en route to Miami.

Important Information for All Travelers Entering the United States
It is the responsibility of each traveler to check whether their medications will be allowed in the country, and you must be aware of restrictions prior to departure. Travelers can check the status of the medications on the U.S. Customs and Border Control Protection website.
